Why we sell seconds
Some pieces come out of the kiln with small marks. They are still useful, so we sell them for less.
Some pieces come out of the kiln with small marks: a thin patch of glaze, a speck of iron, a rim that wore through. They work as well as any other piece, so rather than break them we sell them as seconds.
Each second is photographed on its own and the mark is described on the product page. Seconds cannot be made to order and are sold as they are.
- Seconds are food safe unless the description says otherwise.
- Seconds are packed and posted like any other piece.
